Fabulous First Aid
St John’s Ambulance were in school on Wednesday to give us a taster session of First Aid. The children learned all about the primary survey and DR ABC. They also leaned how to put someone into the recovery position.

The children have worked really hard to design, sculpt and paint their own unique buildings using a variety of skills previously taught.
There are some very creative designers in Year 4/5 !
A lovely surprise!
Today after lunchtime, a child from my class appeared at the door saying , “Mrs Watson there’s a surprise in the classroom for you!” … I walked into the room to quiet children with lots of messages on my whiteboard. Apparently, they just wanted to let me know that I was loved!

First Aid session
This afternoon, a first aid trainer came and taught the children lots of useful things including the recovery position. The children were incredibly engaged in the session and practised on their friends so that they feel confident in administering some first aid.
Fire Safety!
Today we had a visit from Northallerton fire station. They talked to us about how to stay safe, what to do if there’s a fire and let us have a look around their fire engine.
It was great fun and we learnt a lot!
