The children ran and ran and ran this afternoon.  Well done everyone!!

After looking at the graphic organiser on the Victorian Industrial Revolution, the children worked in groups to research one aspect. They then presented their findings to the rest of the class so that everyone had a clear understanding of what happened in the Industrial Revolution.

It is really important that we wash our hands.  Thank you to Lois and Magda, who have made these beautiful and bright posters to remind us.

We have had lots of children signing up for Golden time in the wildlife area this half term.  It is great to see them just enjoying being outside!

It is lovely to see the children completing topic homework early in the half term.  We have had some Kahoot quizzes, which have been informative and have brought out the children's competitive side!  Finlay's Victoria sponge was absolutely delicious! Lois made Victorian sweets - lots of sugar! …

Happy World Book Day everyone!  The outfits were amazing! I don't like having to choose a winner when there are so many fantastic costumes!

We had a fantastic visit to Beamish. We experienced what it would have been like to learn in a Victorian classroom in 1897; the children were surprised at the strictness of the teacher as they had to work in silence and refer to him as ‘Sir’. The lesson consisted of chanting the 12 times table;…

What a great end to a fantastic week!  The children have thoroughly enjoyed finding out about Native Americans.  The grown-ups were amazed by our spectacular work on display.

I keep being amazed with the quality of topic homework, which is coming in.  Well done everyone!

The children made Native American traditional frybread today.  They enjoyed it so much, many of them copied down the recipe so they could try it at home!

The children had a great time today creating Native American headdresses.  They look amazing!

The children had a go at some weaving.  They were very focused and did a fantastic job - I can't wait to put them on display.
