Powerful Peer Critique
Today, the children sketched Arctic animals and then critiqued their partner's work. They then sketched again taking on board the advice given. Amazing!
Topic homework
We are getting some terrific topic homework in for 'Frozen Kingdom'. I love how ingenious some of the ideas are!
Mud, mud, glorious mud!
We got very muddy in the wildlife area this week, and fun was had by all!
What is the question?
We have been working on decimals, so I posed the question: "0.75 is the answer, what is the question?" I was very impressed with the results.
Whittling Wands!
Whittling wands, swing making and toasting marshmallows - what better way to spend your Friday Golden time?
Mood Music
The children created a soundtrack that captures the beauty of the Northern Lights. They considered which sounds would best paint the picture of the light’s luminescence and movement, layering sounds for effect.
Northern Lights!
The children had great fun this week creating beautiful pictures of the Northern Lights using chalk pastels. Very messy but very effective!
Tidy up time!
The children did a great job of tidying up our wildlife areas today. It is amazing how much litter blows in!
Very educational...
I wasn't even needed in class today! Thank you Magda for your very interesting and informative presentation on Polar bears, great topic homework!
Descriptive writing
We are reading 'Ice Trap! Shackleton's greatest expedition'. We looked at this picture and produced some descriptive writing. Well done William and Alex!
