This afternoon, the children ran around the playground for Sport Relief.

Me and Mrs Murton were very impressed with the effort of the children's running and some children ran non-stop for the full time totaling 5 miles.

We have had a great week with our 'Native America' themed culture week and the work that the children has produced has been outstanding. The board in our classroom looks amazing and so does all of the work in the hall. Well done everyone!

The children made Native American traditional frybread today.  They enjoyed it so much, many of them copied down the recipe so they could try it at home!

We have been learning about dream catchers and found out that were designed to "catch" evil spirits, tangle them up, before they could enter your dreams. They were made with an open weave so the good dreams could get through. Dream catchers were woven by the grandfathers and grandmothers. They…

Today, we have been looking at Native American headdresses and the children have enjoyed creating our own.  I think they look absolutely amazing, well done everyone!

This morning, the children have had a go at weaving in the style of Native American weaving. They thoroughly enjoyed this activity and the results are amazing. I can't wait for the parents to see our display board in the hall when we show all of our work in the exhibition on Friday. Superb work…

We have started our Culture Week looking at Native America. The children researched where different tribes live, the types of clothing that they wear and the different traditions that they have. The children worked really hard to produce some amazing work. 

Today, the children have had a go at peer critique. They sketched an animal linked to our topic 'Frozen Kingdom' and then they offered advice to their partner on what they liked and something they could improve on. The children then had a second attempt at their sketch, after they had taken on the…
